Our Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

Modern slavery is a crime and gross violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various forms, all of which have in common the deprivation of a person’s liberty by another in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain.

As a provider of goods and services Drum Cussac has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and takes all reasonable steps to ensure that slavery and human trafficking does not take place in any part of our business and within our supply chain. We are committed to ensuring there is transparency in our approach, which is consistent with our disclosure obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Our organisation

As a leading travel risk management and security specialist Drum Cussac has supported organisational resilience and global mobility for over 15 years. We look after people, assets and operations and currently protect over 11 million lives and thousands of operational facilities including in some of the world’s highest risk environments. Our head office is in Bournemouth, UK with further offices in London and Florida, US. We have 100+ full vetted global security consultants, and 60 direct employees based around the world.

Supply chain adherence to our values

We all have a responsibility to be alert to the risks in our business and in the wider subcontractor, supplier and provider network with which we engage. To this end we carry out a robust due diligence process on all our potential subcontractors and suppliers of goods and services, backed-up by regular reviews to ensure continued adherence. Relationships with our suppliers have been established over a significant number of years and built upon mutually beneficial factors, where we have close and personal links and contact with owners or directors, typically reflecting the fact that we partner with small and medium sized operations in the main.

To date we have not been made aware of any slavery or human trafficking activities within our supply chain but if any were highlighted to us we would act immediately in accordance with our legal and moral obligations.

Training

We have zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking. To maintain awareness and ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our business this statement is available in our Employee Handbook, on the Intranet and published on our website.

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our company’s slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 31 December 2016.
