Social Responsibility
In over ten years of operating in complex environments, it has always been a key tenet of the Drum Cussac risk management philosophy that relations with local communities must be positive.
For a number of years, campaigning organisations in the areas of social engagement, environmental protection and human rights have raised the bar of expectation regarding corporate responsibility.
This pressure has increased scrutiny by global news media and led to the exposure of more companies implicated in abuse or accused of complicity, with the resultant reputational damage, and often, litigation. This raised public attention has also manifested itself in ethical investment and ethical consumer choice to the benefit of companies operating responsibly.
