Security Audits

There are a number of key issues that are covered within a Security Audit. The audit will include compliance with international obligations and recommendations to ensure that each local airport is operating in accordance with your country's National Aviation Security Programme. A wider security audit (or security evaluation) can also be undertaken to review the vulnerability of an airport and its facilities to unlawful interference and to take stock of the protective measures in place.

These measures should be commensurate with the threat and be in accordance with the National Aviation Security Programme. To achieve this aim, Drum Cussac will determine the areas and installations that need to be protected; assess the existing protection, be it physical or procedural, and recommend what additional protection or changes in procedures are necessary to achieve the standards required by the ICAO (see ICAO Security Annex 17).
