Competent Authority
Drum Cussac provide a three-tiered approach for ship owners, operators and companies that are required to use a Ship Security Alert System (SSAS). Our 24/7 Operations Centre monitors all SSAS's and provides the following levels of cover:
Level 1
In the event of an incident, the Company Security Officer (CSO), Flag States, Coastal States and contracting governments are immediately informed by our controller who continues to track the vessel and coordinate communications.
Level 2
With the approval of the client's CSO, our crisis management team will inform the relevant agencies, assess the event and plan the appropriate course of action.
Level 3
If an incident escalates, we can assist in the deployment of emergency response specialists to advise the client's team and, in some cases, resolve the incident directly.
