Dive Supervisor Position

DIVE SUPERVISOR (Contract Position).

Diving supervisory experience is a requirement

Rotation: 56 days in country  21 out (West Africa) ( TBC)
Travel: Business Class
Salary: POA

MAIN FUNCTIONS
• Monitor and appraise construction dive work in the specific area of his/her discipline
• Ensure implementation (at site level) project quality and safety plans
• Ensure necessary corrective actions are taken in areas such as planning and scheduling, cost control, subcontract administration, safety, and quality of the work


TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES     
• Monitor and appraise construction dive work in the specific area of his/her discipline for conformance with dive specifications, to the clients standards, safe work practices, and applicable codes by spot-checking actual work performance
• Implement site quality surveillance plan and checklists.  Ensure entry of surveillance results are documented / filed accordingly.
• Generate Deficiency, CAR and NCR Reports and assist in resolution
• Review and appraise dive contractor’s planning and scheduling
• Evaluate performance of the dive contactor’s organization and supervisor personnel, suggesting remedial steps where deficiencies are noted
• Organize and provide daily work direction and coordination of divers
• Review and endorse discipline-related change requests
• Review and endorse discipline-related procurement and subcontracting
• Compile inspection records for turnover to operating organization
• Interface with quality personnel
• Authorize work permits
• Facilitate Quality Audits – to include contractor’s dive equipment and personnel
• Coordinate dive quality assessments and assist in closure
• Gather, monitor and report site quality performance metrics
• Maintain oversight of Company onsite document control
• Serve as the PMT’s first line supervisor for dive safety management
• Provide construction technical guidance and mentoring to personnel with a keen focus on National development
• Liaise with contractor for field level changes
• Monitor environmental /EIA compliance as required
• Provide accurate and timely construction reports depicting progress, safety, issues, and forward plans.
• As site/area lead, serve as day-to-day interface with contractor/divers during the dive phase to  provide a focus on safety, quality, cost, and schedule

EDUCATION
• High School education
• 5-10 years dive experience
• 5 years minimum experience in offshore dive supervisor
• 10 years minimum experience in offshore dive operation
•  International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) Diving Supervisor Qualification
• Computer literate
